With over 10 years of posts, an outdated design and difficult-to-use publishing tools, Spoonflower came to MRC looking to rebuild their blog from the ground up. During the discovery phase, two main themes rose to the surface. First, the blog needed a complete redesign that accurately reflects the Spoonflower brand: an inclusive, empowering and supportive community of artists and makers. And second, the dashboard tools for publishing new posts needed to be easy, fast and intuitive to use. With that information, we got to work reorganizing their years of content into a simplified sitemap, creating interactive wireframes to visualize page flow, designing both desktop and mobile mockups, and developing a custom-built WordPress site.
