Raleigh Comedy Festival
Surrounding yourself with friends who make you laugh is great, but when they're paid comedians, it's a whole new level. Spencer Bland and Jordan Higgins envisioned putting Raleigh on the comedy map with a top-tier festival. They needed a brand that captured the local vibe yet commanded national attention.
The Logo:
The primary badge lockup boldly projects "Raleigh Comedy Festival" like a comic's punchline, grabbing attention. The dynamic angled design gives it a lively, outspoken feel, symbolizing the comedian's presence. The ticketed year graphic contrasts the angled logo, like the juxtaposition a comedian presents to a crowd, creating just the right touch of creative friction and balance, while also allows the flexibility to update year by year.
The Monogram:
Taking inspiration from the shout-outs of comedy, we repurposed the badge shape to craft an "R" monogram for RCF, signifying where it all begins, just like Raleigh. The letters "C" and "F" complete the design, giving the RCF team an urban, artsy flair perfect for showcasing performers, sponsors, and more.
