The Carolina Theatre of Downtown Durham
Since 1926
The Carolina Theatre has been the heart of art in Downtown Durham since 1926. A historic theatre, the Carolina Theatre showcases hundreds of events each year including film, music, festivals, performances and more. They called on MRC to match the experience of their website to the incredible experience of the venue. In addition to that, the goal of the new website was to (1) showcase the new identity that the team at CTD developed internally and (2) increase the site's user experience. With hundreds of events being added to the site each year, it was our job to not only design a user-friendly experience for users coming to the website, but to also develop a user-friendly dashboard for the team at CTD to load the hundreds of events' information in. Built on WordPress, we developed a custom solution allowing the Carolina Theatre to easily maintain the website internally, with a clean and user-friendly experience on the front end. It was a privilege to be able to design and develop a website for such a historic, local establishment!
