Oak City Amaretto

Locally made with a family recipe dating back to the 40s, Oak City Amaretto came to MRC looking to take their packaging design to the next level to establish themselves as the top amaretto on the market. Giving MRC free-reign over the design, the only requirements were to lean into the Italian heritage while modernizing the design and designing a bottle that will turn heads on the shelf. Experimenting with a wide range of initial design concepts, printing techniques and embellishments, we ultimately ended up with beautifully simple screen printed bottle with metallic gold ink to show off the rich amaretto coloring, and sealed the bottle with a red label topper to add the perfect amount of color.
